Analysis of Composite Materials

Statistically homogeneous materials in which ellipsoidal shaped inclusions are distributed randomly in a matrix are analyzed. Application of the Eshelby's theory for a single inclusion to multiple inclusions.

Computer Algebra applications

Using symbolic capable software such as REDUCE and Mathematica to solve problems which were not possible by paper and pencil (and elbow) before.

Micromechanics

Mathematical tools for the above subjects. Numerical Green's functions and derivation of failure criteria based on detailed stress fields.
